STABLISHMENT
.--There is established an

adult protective services grant program under which
10
the Secretary shall annually award grants to States
11
in the amounts calculated under paragraph (2) for
12
the purposes of enhancing adult protective services
13
provided by States and local units of government.

MOUNT OF PAYMENT
.--

``(A) I
N GENERAL
.--Subject to the avail-
16
ability of appropriations and subparagraphs (B)
17
and (C), the amount paid to a State for a fiscal
18
year under the program under this subsection
19
shall equal the amount appropriated for that
20
year to carry out this subsection multiplied by
21
the percentage of the total number of elders who
22
reside in the United States who reside in that
23
State.
