Lord Christopher Monckton's Bombshell Speech At Bethel University

Reference: United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change

I would like to begin here with the amount of money that's been spent in the last twenty years by your government, your tax-payers, your money - on totally unnecessary climate research to do with global warming. Obama announced in his stimulus package, another eighty billion dollars just for? the next three years on the same subject. which is totally unnecessary and totally wasted. But there are real problems that we haven't addressed, which should be addressed.

There's no point in doing anything whatsoever about it except to adapt as and if necessary - which we now know we don't even need to do. That's the end of the debate of the economics. There it is - that's? the effects of the Waxman-Markey Bill, even if it were implemented in full, which it's not going to be, on temperature and on sea-level..

You have to close down the global economy entirely, go back to the stone-age without even the right to light a fire in your cave. That's what you'd have to do just to? knock-off two degrees fahrenheit of global warming... "so-called". That's all you need to know about the economics of global warming in one slide.

I must end now, and I'm going to end on a serious note because there's just one economic point I will make very briefly and that is that, in order to forestall just 1 celsius degree or 2 fahrenheit degrees of global warming even if the U.N. is? right about the exaggerated effect of CO2 on global warming we now know it not to be. Even if it's right you have to forego 2 trillion tons of CO2 emission. Now that's the equivalent of 67 years of the world's entire output of 30 billion tons a year.

I have read that treaty, and what it says is this: that a world government is going to be created. The word "government" actually appears? as the first of three purposes of the new entity.

There's a few of them there, I'm not going? to go through them. You know what they are. And what are we doing instead? At Copenhagen (Denmark), this December(2009), weeks away, a treaty will be signed - your president will sign it, most of the 3rd-world countries will sign it because they think they're going to get money out of it. Most of the left-winged regimes from the European Union will rubber stamp it. Virtually nobody won't sign it.

I have read this treaty and this is what it says is this: That a world Government is going to be created. The word "government appears as the first of three purposed of this new entities. The second purpose is the transfer of wealth from the countries of the west to the third world countries in satisfaction of what we call coyly, " a climate debt", because they say we have been burning here and we have been screwing up the planet. We have not been "screwing" up the planet, but that is the lie. The third purpose of this new entity, this new government is enforcement. How many times do you think election, democracy, voting or ballot appears in the 181 pages of that treaty. Quite right !.....NOT ONCE! So alt last the communist who piled out of the Berlin wall and into the environmental movement and took over Green Peace and forced my friend out of it within a year. Now the apophasis is at hand. They are about to impose a communist government on the world. You have a president who has very strong sympathies with that view and he is going to sign. He is going to sign anything, he is a Nobel peace receiver. Of course he is and the trouble with this is this: If that treaty is signed your constitution says that it takes precedence over your constitution and you can't resign for it unless you get the agreement from all the other states. Because you are going to be the biggest paying country, they are not going to let you out. So thank you America, you were the beacon of freedom for the world.

It is a privilege to merely stand on this soil of freedom; while it is still free. But in the next few weeks, unless you stop it, your president will sign away your freedom, your democracy and your prosperity away forever and neither you or any subsequent government that you may elect will have any power whatsoever to take it back again.

That is how serious it is. I read the treaty and I have seen the stuff about the government, planet debt and enforcement. They are going to do this to you whether you like it or not. But I think that it is here in your great nation that I so love that it is here in this eleventh hour the 59th minute and the 59th second, that you will stop your president from signing that dreadful treaty.- That purposeless treaty, for there is no problem with the climate, economically speaking, and even if there were we could do nothing about it anyway. So I end to you the words that Winston Churchill addressed to your president in the darkest hour before the dawn of freedom in the second World War. He quoted the great poet, Longfellow. "Sail on O' ship of state, sail on O' union, strong and great. Humanity with all its fears and all it's hopes, our future years is hanging breathless on thy fate."
