Liberals say no to renewable energy by Mar Matthias Darin Obama gave a speech earlier and spoke about investing in renewable energy: We invest in the renewable sources of energy that
will lead to new jobs, new businesses and less dependence on foreign
oil. We invest in our schools and our teachers, so that our children
have the skills they need to compete with any workers in the
world.
Here is a recent example of liberals blocking development of renewable energy from the L.A. Times: California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger said in a
speech last year at a Yale University climate-change conference: "If we
cannot put solar power plants in the Mojave Desert, I don't know where
the hell we can put it."
I certainly can understand Governor Schwarzenegger's frustration as California continues to struggle with its energy needs, unemployment, and budget issues. Solar and Wind farms would be a blessing to California and its residents. We can't build nuclear power plants, drill our own oil, mine our own coal, drill for natural gas, build solar and wind farms. What in Heaven's name is left? I understand the need to preserve the ecology. We can do both and I think the desert tortoise may even appreciate a little shade here and there. Are the panty-twisted, idiotic, cranially challenged liberals going to wait until the Chinese government moves in and declares our country the "New Republic of China" before they pull their heads out of their backsides and wake up to reality? We have the technology now and we need to put it to use irregardless of the selfish liberal jack-offs hell bent on destroying this country.
