The Real Iran

by Mar Matthias Darin

These photographs were sent to my better half via email. They are disturbing and extremely graphic. Viewer discretion highly advised. These photographs show much of what really goes on in Iran. Things like women's oppression and tyrannical (in)justice are the norm. I have to wonder why our new president wants to hold "tea parties" with this type of a leader....

Iranian oppression of women

Mahmoud Achmedinajad, president of Iran: We do not have homosexuals in Iran. We do not have this phenomenon. I don't know who has told you that we have.

This is really pathetic. Really.

There is no doubt that these stringent punishments have the support of the majority of Iranians. This has all become a culture now.

I have always said that it is the the duty of leaders to be rise above the pedestrian views of their followers. This is how great nations are built.

Even in the USA, there are still majorities in some states that would scream if the death penalty was abolished.

It is unlikely that we will ever see the kind of democracy we see in the West in Iran. The cultures are different and the levels of sadism in both cultures differs.
