Along for The Ride! update by Mar Matthias Darin Along for the Ride! (AFTR) has been rewritten yet again. There are important changes that have been requested by the current members. Many thank to each of them for assisting in the testing and helping make AFTR better. Please keep those thoughts and ideas coming. The biggest change of all is there is now a close button. No more MouseOut. The AFTR window stays on the screen until the visitor clicks the close button. Please work the new script and let me know how its handling and holding up. Here are the he rules for joining again:
If you are interested in helping my test and perfect AFTR, add the following code to your blog: <script type="text/javascript" src="http://matthiaschronicles.tanaya.net/AFTR/aftr.xjs"></script> IMPORTANT: please take note of the xjs, not js. This is needed to work around and avoid cross site scripting issues. Systems running the .js version, please change the js to xjs. No other changes are needed. Be sure to leave a comment with your blog url that the code is on and email address so I can contact you if needed. Note, I never give out email addresses or any other personal information. Thank you. Top tags: aftr, blog, blogs, code, safe, script, xjs, along, button, change Comments from Windmill 118.100.99.54 Hi Matthias, The AFTR widgets keeps getting better and better. You're surely ripping at it the right way. Great work going! Comments from Mar Matthias Darin Thank you. Comments from PaulsHealthBlog.com 99.26.193.34 I'm no techie, and am not exactly sure of the purpose behind AFTR. Thanks, Paul Comments from Mar Matthias Darin The purpose is to provide a passive method to generate traffic in a way that is driven by your visitor, not you. For example, the AFTR window was displayed 1,942 times (2/3/09), or roughly 388 hits to each of the current 5 member sites. AFTR generated more traffic for my blog then EC on most of my slow days.
