Experimental blog advertising program, the return of the button!

by Mar Matthias Darin

The code has been rewritten yet again, but the button is back! Many thanks go to Windmill for putting up with my insanity while I worked through the bugs. Without his help, the button wouldn't have returned. It is now stable, small, and fast.

I still need more systems willing to help me perfect this method though. Please read my last article if you would like to help.

If you are interested in helping my test and perfect this method, add the following code to your blog:

<script type="text/javascript" src="http://matthiaschronicles.tanaya.net/AFTR/aftr.xjs"></script>

Be sure to leave a comment with your blog url that the code is on and email address so I can contact you if needed. Note, I never give out email addresses or any other personal information.

All code is hosted by my server. Currently, I am using my online book library as my test bed. Once I have enough blogs interested, I will switch to them as the beginning of the members' list.

Thank you.

How did you learn to write code?

It is all I can do to use good English grammar!

I'm a professional C programmer by trade. Javascript is not that different. So I found a few tutorial and examples of the web. I still have a lot to learn though.

Hahaha Matthias,

Nothing to it really. I am game for experiments and have done enough on my own account, even to end up losing my scripts, my sql data base and some other precious stuff at my previous blogs. LOL!

Keep ripping away Sir, it can only get better.

I've made a few bug fixes and now the button works real well. Also, the page that comes along for the ride doesn't actually load unless the visitor mouse overs the AFTR box. Less chances to "game" the sysetm and it doesn't take away from the sponsoring site.
