Some changes to the blog

by Mar Matthias Darin

I'm sure you've already noticed a few small changes. Most notable, now I list the top seven articles in the left panel. I've thought about putting the top seven articles in the center column, but it didn't look right and I don't want to take from the articles I post.

I had to re-arrange a few things to keep the left and right columns somewhat balanced... Unbalanced columns look horrible... I'll probably do more re-arranging as time goes on... I'm too picky for my own good sometimes.

Also, I may do some whacking of over bloated widgets. AdBrite and Project Wonderful may also find themselves on the chopping block, still debating that though. Lately, both of the have been pathetically slow. My awards page has grown quite nicely and my thanks again to all those who have bestowed awards upon me.

I may automate my blogroll. Quite frankly though, I'm questioning its value in relation to the work needed to verify the links are mutual... Time will tell with this I suppose. I'm interested in hearing from those that have blogrolls on how effective they've been in bringing traffic. Also, has BlogUpp actually been useful to anyone? I'm begining to think its just wasting space...

Overall, I'm please with the design though I might try to dress it up a little more as long as it doesn't slow the blog down... I don't mind a page that takes a little time to load as long as its loading content. I absolutely despise pages that take forever on ads and bloated widgets with very little content.

Let me know your thoughts and opinions. How does this site look?

I don't know about anyone else, but BlogUpp wasn't any help with traffic for me. So I removed it a long time ago. I'm wondering how advertisers with Adgitise are making out for traffic. It's not a bad price to advertise with them. Been thinking of trying it.

Many blessings

Hi Mathhias,

Your Blog format keeps getting better and better. :) and that's the other nice thing about running a Blog. It grows just like a flower plant, then the buds and eventually a full blloom.

More power to you Sir!
