I Never Knew You

by Rev. Mother Theresa Darin

Blessings in our Loving Jesus;

Just so you know, when the Lord gives me any teaching it is for me first and for me to check myself and my priorities, Praise God, He can speak to us and allow us the conviction to fix what is broken in our lives. I pray you are blessed in This Teaching of our Loving Jesus.

As You Read Today's teachings of Jesus is called "I Never Knew You" I give you this to think about. If you were on trial for being a Christian today would there be enough evidence to convict you?

Matt. 7:15-23; Luke 6:46, 13:26-27

Because so many people teach the wrong way, there is a tendency to ask how so many people could be wrong. Such doubts are especially strong when false teachers prophesy, cast out demons and perform wonders in Jesus name. However, it is important to remember that the Word of God is superior to any miracle.

Luke 13:27 I do not know you depart from me: in this verse, Jesus turns a question about salvation V.23 into a question about personally knowing Him. Failure to seek salvation in Jesus means that sin remains in a person's life.

I never knew you. That is, I never approved, loved, or regarded you as my friends. See Ps 1:6; 2Ti 2:19; 1Co 8:3. This proves that, with all their pretensions, they had never been true followers of Christ. Jesus will not then say to false prophets and false professors of religion, that he had once known them, and then rejected them; that they had been once Christians and then had fallen away; that they had been Depart from me, all ye workers of iniquity. Thus pleading pardoned, and then had apostatized; but that he had never known them--THEY HAD NEVER BEEN TRUE CHRISTIANS. Whatever might have been their pretended joys, their raptures, their hopes, their self-confidence, their visions, their zeal, they had never been regarded by the Savior as his true friends. I know not a more decided proof that Christians do not fall away from grace than this text. It settles the question; and proves that whatever else such men had, they never had any true religion. See 1Jo 2:19 avails not. The door would not be narrow if it opened to excuses.

II Tim. 2:19 In spite of the unfaithful actions of some, the solid foundations of God stand. The tense of the verb indicates that Paul saw Gods truth as not only standing in the past but also in the present as well as the future. The Lord knows those who are His, John 10:14. This is an intimate, experience of knowledge that can only be obtained in a personal relationship. Depart from me: Our sure relationship with our Father in heaven should motivate us to a life of purity Luke 5:36-39. Matt. 7:21-23 it is not a verbal commitment to the Lord that counts. Only doing His will is an adequate expression of relationship with Him Matt. 7:21.

Luke 6:40 so what counts isn't knowing who Jesus is, but actually knowing Him personally and intimately. No one really knows God's Word until they put it into practice. God has planted us so that we bare fruit John 5:19; Matt. 12:33; Luke 6:44.

Romans 2:29 Circumcision is an outward, physical sign of membership in the covenant community. But relationship with God requires an inner, spiritual circumcision of the heart.

II Tim. 2:19 Therefore this concept has the image of a seal with two sides; on one side it reads, God knows those who are His Rom. 9:5. Only God can look into the human heart and recognize true faith in Jesus Christ. But on the other side, the seal reads, everyone who confesses the name of the Lord must turn away from wickedness. Rom. 10:9; II Cor. 5:17. So, if we have Christ we will strive to be like Him in every way. We can't see into another person's heart. But we should be able to see the manifestation of the commitment to holiness that results when Christ really has taken up residence in a life. The foundation; Jesus Christ, on whom are built the church of God and the hopes of his people. Isa 28:16; 1Co 3:10-15; Eph 2:19-22. This seal; this double inscription written upon it. Knoweth--his; and will keep them from the seductions of the wicked. This gives one mark of the true believer. Depart from iniquity; this gives the other mark. All who are on "the foundation of God" exhibit both these marks. Having this seal. On seals were often inscriptions, and the thought here is of the inscription. Upon this seal are two inscriptions. The first cheers with the assurance that the Lord knows his own, and will not forget them; the second shows who are his. The Lord knows his people, and his people obey him. Thus they may know that they are known of God.

This is a wonderful thought to know that we are marked with the seal of the Lord Jesus and He knows us personally. I am so thankful for this and I know that when we meet face to face He will say enter my child, well done. Praise God for His saving Grace and for the Supreme Sacrifice of Jesus Christ the only Son of God.

Be blessed today and always in Jesus,
Rev. Mother Theresa

Comments from Tomas 78.61.157.125

"I Never Knew You" ... In the light of this warning, all my current hardships loose any sense and all my goodness look like ... the dirty tatter. "I Never Knew You" is the most fearful verse in the Bible. Yet these words of our Lord is not the condemnation, but the warning. We still have time to repent- to put our belief into practice - to blossom out by saying farewell to Pharisee who sits inside and spots the wonderful picture of the arden of the redemption by Jesus.... "I Never Knew You" - THANK YOU for the reminder that awakes and inspires the desire to be worthy God's love.

Your welcome Tomas. I also thank you for added your comments as it is so true that we indeed have the true Love of God. After-all God gave us "HIS" son Jesus so that we can have true salvation through "HIS" death upon the cross and "HIS" reserection.

Blessings;
Rev. Mother Theresa
