Giving thanks and being thankful

by Mar Matthias Darin

I am upto 207 posts (including this one) and with this being the month of Thanks Giving, fill I have a lot to be thankful for with this this blog. This blog is only 9 months old and yet the response to it has been overwhelming at times. It would not have been the success that it is without its readers and commenters. I greatfully appreciate the comments I have received, even those I do not agree with. Each of my commenters had to face my security system from hell to post their thoughts, not exactly an easy task, yet they prevailed. So in order to pay homage to each of these people, I am listed them (in no particular order) below with DoFollow links. I have visited each of these blogs frequently and can so say that they are well done and a great amount of time has been spent on them by their authors. Each of them is well worth the time to visit.

To each of my commenters goes a heart felt Thank You:

In Britain we don't have Thanks giving but this time of the year is dedicated to the memory of the Armed Forces both past and present who have lost their lives whilst serving their country. We have a Rememberance Sunday which is the nearest Sunday to November 11th, Armistice Day. For this day and also for the days up until this day we wear a poppy which is usually red - these are made by people who have been injured whilst serving their country and are currently unable to carry on in their Service career, some make the poppies at a time to adjust and then may be go into a civilian job. The money collected goes towards helping with problems for injured Servicemen and women and their families. There are a few white poppies sold also, these are usually purchased by those who wish to show their support but also displaying that they do not agree with conflict or fighting.

I hope that you all have a lovely Thanks giving.

9 months old! Excellent work thus far. Mine is only 8 months old. There's something to be said about being newbies on the blogosphere, eh?

Just wanted to stop by and say thanks to you as well for the linking back!

BTW - that's a pretty cool commenting security feature

I am giving you the lemonade award as I've seen you make a lot of lemonade from lemons. I've read through your posts quite a bit, just a silent reader :)
