Tuesday, August 26, 2008, 10:30 PM Infanticide in the USA by Mar Matthias Darin This is a very disturbing video and not for the kiddies. Reported by brianinmo: The Obama Campaign admitted yesterday that Barack Obama did vote against a bill as an Illinois State Senator that would have required babies born alive after attempted abortions be given life-saving care. His campaign yesterday acknowledged that he had voted against an identical bill in the state Senate, and a spokesman, Hari Sevugan, said the senator and other lawmakers had concerns that even as worded, the legislation could have undermined existing Illinois abortion law. Those concerns did not exist for the federal bill, because there is no federal abortion law. Reported by Jill Stanek: Michelle called partial-birth abortion "a legitimate medical procedure," and wouldn't supporters please pay $150 to attend a luncheon for her husband, who would fight against "cynical ploy[s]" to stop it? Now this is where I have to ask if Americans are really this stupid to allow this to continue... Comments from Mountain Woman Thanks for sharing that important piece of information. My stomach turns whenever I think about partial birth abortion but to not give care to a "fetus" who survives the procedure is beyond belief. Comments from Lea I think we (American's) are ignorant and blind as far as trusting our law makers to protect the rights of the innocent. My first question after seeing the video and reading the following post was, has there been any programs aired on what a partial abortion really is, etc. Then it occurred to me that even if there has been informational programs aired on this, most likely the majority of viewers would not turn it on to watch it anyway. Comments from Mizi Hi. The video is really shocking. The idea of leaving babies to die is disgusting. In Portugal, until last year, abortion was forbidden, which was a problem too. Portuguese women were doing illegal abortions in illegal places without conditions and many had serious health problems while others died. Nurses and other medical staff were sued because they were doing illegal abortions. Those who had money were doing it in Spain, where abortion is legal. Since the new law was approved (two years ago), authorizing abortions in public hospitals to any women till 12 weeks pregnancy, the number of abortions increased. Don't know about the laws in US, but my opinion is: People and governments should seriously think about giving conditions to those babies and not killing them before they're born. Best Regards. Mizi.
