Democrats on vacation

The Democrat controlled Congress decided to go on vacation for the month of August. That must be nice to have a whole month for a vacation... I am lucky to get a week... I guess America suffering with the high price of gas isn't a concern to the Democrats. After all, they're not paying for it at the pumps are they?

They get chauffeured around in limousines and we pay for the gas in their tanks as well as our own. They aren't changing their lifestyles are they? How many Americans canceled their hard earned one week vacations just so the Democrats can have one of many all-expense paid vacations?

Better yet, how many families are going to freeze to death this winter? How many seniors are going to have to choose between heat and food or heat and medicine? It would be a crying shame if the Democrats actually had to interrupt their blissful vacation and work like the rest of us. If the price goes to $20 a gallon, they don't have to worry, do they?

The Democrats know we'll just keep paying for their selfish, inconsiderate, worthless, lazy asses to continue to dictate that we are to continue suffering whilest they enjoy their vacations, limousines, yachts, and everything else that WE paid for and will continue to do so... Or will we?

just to play devil's advocate, there was a bill to remove oil speculation, which would have likely lowered the price of gas substantially. the democrats were mostly for, the republicans shot it down.

i'm not a democrat or a republican - they both take turns shafting the country in their own respective ways. the current republican leadership supports nothing but corporate interests, and the democrats don't want to fix that problem... they just want to tax the hell out of the corporate interests and turn the rest of the country into a welfare state.

Very true. Thats why I became a registered Independent 10 years ago... The last several elections have been pathetic and they seem to be getting worse not better.
