Get rich quick crap

In searching around the net looking for something to help me overcome my writer's block, I came across more "Get rich quick" sites then I care to count. Talk about a bunch of crap! Are people stupid enough to to actually fall for this worthless garbage?

Just in a few hours of random blog hopping, I've seen everything from "10 easy steps" to "Buy my e-book and learn my secrets"... This is absolutely insane.

What really gets me, is most people know better them to give money to scammers, yet the same people are more then egar to give some fly-by-night moron their money for some super secret method to make money overnight. These scams are the same sort of ponzi, pyramid, and the like. At least half, if not most, of this crap will land some greedy joker in jail...

There is only one way to "get rich" --- hard work and dedication plus a pinch of luck to be in the right place at the right time. All the cheesy scams do is ruin a person's good reputation and get them labeled a fraud. Its that simple. Its not a magic bullet and "getting rich" has no magic secrets. If it did, lets face it, these "get rich quick" scam artists would be in the top 100 list, not pawning their crap off of a server like yahoo, geocities, fortunecity, or some other pathetically lame $1.95 godaddy (or similar) domain.

Its high time these pathetic lazy slackers get off their worthless @$$es put their backs into something called work then maybe they'll "get rich." Either way, I've had enough of this crap on web pages, in my email, postal mail (yes, I actually get this worthless trash in my mail box), TV, and radio....

Would you click an offer to "Get Rich Slow"? These things work because yes, 90% of the world can be duped. And as long as they work, these sites will continue to propagate.

I do agree with your rant. It would be nice to listen to CNBC on Sirius and browse the Internet without all of the crap. But they've got to pay the bills.

"Get Rich Slow"... This is an interesting idea. It makes me think about a well laid out plan to success. So I'd have to say, I would at least look it over of listin to the pitch...

I have no problem with people making an honest living. I have a problem with people making a living by defrauding others. As far as I am concerned, I see this as nothing more then an excuse to justify stealing.

You got this right! Whenever I see "get rich" in an email I automatically hit "Delete." I want nothing to do with get rich quick schemes--IF they do work, it's probably underhanded or illegal so wouldn't want to go near it.
