Standing on Our Faith When Others Seek To Kill It By Abp. Leslie Mary Trombly © 2008 I am tired of this Christian nation worrying about whether we are offending some individual's religion or their culture. Since the mid 60's the crowd of anti-Christians began complaining about the possibility that our FREEDOM of Religion was offending theirs. I am not against people having their own beliefs, because only God can change their hearts nor do I hold a grudge against anyone who is seeking a better life by coming to America. This country was made with the immigrants from England, Ireland and many other countries on this planet. What is even more appalling is that every one that came here, up until the last 40 years, stood fast on the Christian faith, irregardless of what denomination they were. Mind you this has been the way of this country for over 400 years and now thanks to the ACLU and people like the long dead Madeline O'Hare, the Christian faith on which this country was founded is now denied, banned and condemned by those who claim that their religious freedoms are being infringed upon by our Christian faith! OH YA???? It is more like those who are not Christian resent us and the fact our country was founded on it. TOO BAD!!!! You don't like it - LEAVE! Go find some desert Island to have your beliefs if you can not live with ours. We have to live with yours! Do we pass laws saying you can't practice atheism, Heathenism. Evolution, Darwinism, Muslim, Wiccan and Satanism? NO!! NO!! NO!! We would like to see this country be a totally Christian Nation, but we realize according to the word of God, it isn't going to happen! Leave us alone in our faith as we leave you alone in yours and stop getting the government and the courts to pass laws with the help of the ACLU! We have as much right to our faith and beliefs as you do! As Americans and Christians, we have fought for that right! Now you want to take that from us. We didn't ask you to change your beliefs, only accept the ways of this country while still holding onto you own culture. Until recently, our proud mottos were, “In God we Trust” and “One Nation Under God”. Thanks to the likes of you, we can no longer say that because it “might offend you”. Our prayer and the public display of the Ten Commandments has been banned because of You! If you don't want to pray in the Christian way - don't. if you don't want to see Ten Commandments - then don't look and don't walk by them and if you do, then look the other way! We don't pass laws banning your beliefs, yet you have seen fit to do so with ours! If God offends you, then I suggest you consider another part of the world as your new home, because GOD IS THE FOUNDATION OF THIS NATION! GOD IS THE ONE WHO HAS KEPT THIS COUNTRY GOING and now thanks to the likes of you and your antics, this country is going straight to Hell. We have been quite peaceful and lived in harmony until you intruded and started your nonsense! That reminds me and it begs me to ask the questions; “What are you so afraid of?” “Does our Christian faith and stand in God scare you that much when it seems that no other religion or belief does?” Quite frankly, I could care less as do others about things were - in the country You came from. If you don't like it then go back to where you came from - if it was so grand. If this is the case, then why in tarnation did you even bother coming here in the first place? If you came here for freedom you got it, but what gives you the right to infringe on our religious freedom and to dictate to us who, where, when and how we worship or where, when and how we pray or even where we have the Ten commandments displayed where we want them displayed? You have gotten so self-righteous that we can't even speak the name of God in Public! I do not know about anyone else but as for me and my house we will serve the Lord. WE WILL SPEAK THE NAME OF GOD WHEN AND WHERE WE PLEASE! WE WILL PRAY WHEN AND WHERE WE PLEASE AND WE WILL WORSHIP WHEN AND WHERE WE PLEASE! Again, If you don't like it stay away or just go back to where you came from. I will not give up my Christian faith for the likes of you or anyone else! I make no apologies for this letter as I have nothing against anyone believing the way they want to believe. They will have to face God one day, so that is His Job, not mine! Mine is to seek and guide the Lost to salvation. for those who need it and are seeking it. I am not going to break your arm to get you to see my beliefs. You have free-will and the choice you make will determine your eternal outcome.
